Pt Judith Pond Emergency Shellfish Closure Remains in Effect:
Fecal coliform results from water samples collected in Pt Judith Pond on Friday (10/18/2019) were just received Saturday (10/19) afternoon.
Unfortunately the results are still elevated; all Approved stations had fecal coliform values of greater than 14 cfu/100 ml and multiple Approved stations in northern Pt Judith Pond had fecal coliform values in the hundreds. Therefore, the emergency closure of Pt Judith Pond must remain in effect.
We plan to re-sample the Pond on Monday (10/21) with results likely returned late in the day on Tuesday (10/22). We will reevaluate the Pt Judith Pond closure once those results are available.
