Please be reminded that all existing Summer Flounder Exemption Certificates will expire on December 31, 2020, and that a renewal application (attached) must be submitted by vessel owners and received by the Department or postmarked no later than September 1, 2020 if the certificate is to be renewed and remain valid. A Summer Flounder Exemption Certificate authorizes participation by licensed fishermen in programs such as the Summer Flounder Aggregate Landing Program, and also provides for increased daily possession limits when applicable.
