Northern Right Whale Proposed Rule Informational Session

Please be advised that the NOAA Fisheries Greater Atlantic Regional Office (GARFO) is holding an informational session on the proposed rule to reduce entanglement in trap and pot fisheries for right, humpback and finback whales.  This session is intended to provide opportunity to the public to learn about the proposed rule before providing comments at a later date during a formal public hearing process, and will focus on the proposed requirements for Rhode Island, Southern Massachusetts, and LMA3.  Please go to https://www.fisheries.noaa.gov/event/atlantic-large-whale-take-reduction-plan-modifications-informational-session-rhode-island to access meeting information and documents pertaining to the proposed rule.
