Atlantic Large Whale Proposed Rule Public Hearing

Please be advised that the NOAA Fisheries Greater Atlantic Regional Office (GARFO) is holding public hearings and requesting comments on the proposed rule to reduce entanglement in trap and pot fisheries for right, humpback and finback whales. This hearing is intended to provide opportunity to the public to comment, and will focus on the proposed requirements for Rhode Island, Southern Massachusetts, and LMA3 though all may attend. If you are unable to attend you may access a pre-recorded version of the slides to learn more about the rule.
