Attention: Rhode Island and Southern New England Fish Trap/Pot and Gill Net Fishery Participants
Public Scoping Reminder
This is a reminder that NOAA Fisheries has started public scoping meetings for Phase II modifications to the Atlantic Large Whale Take Reduction Plan (ALWTRP). Rhode Island fish trap/pot and gill net fishery participants are encouraged to attend these meetings and get involved at this stage in the process.
There will be one or two meetings a week throughout September until the end of scoping on October 21. To attend a future meeting please go here [fisheries.noaa.gov] to find the upcoming meetings and registration links. There is also a schedule with links below for your reference. You may also submit your input in writing by October 21, 2021 to NOAA’s email address: nmfs.gar.ALWTRT2021@noaa.gov. NOAA will also have call-in days: see details here [fisheries.noaa.gov].
Scoping Meeting Information
All scoping meetings will run from 6:30 to 8:30 EST but you may log on starting at 6 PM to make sure your audio works. After registering you will receive an email confirming your registration and a link to join the meeting.
