Please be advised that the Division of Marine Fisheries regulation “Part 4 – Shellfish” has been filed regarding amendments to the Providence River Shellfish Management Area harvest schedule for 2022. The adopted schedule is as follows:
Providence and Seekonk Rivers Shellfish Management Area:
Commercial Harvest: Open 8:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. only on the following dates:
- May 23 through September 2: Open on the first two (2) non-consecutive weekdays of each week not closed due to water quality impairment.
- May 30 and July 4: Closed
- June 30: Open
- May 30 and July 4: Closed
- September 6 through October 28: Open one (1) day each week on the first weekday which is not closed due to water quality impairment.
- October 10: Closed.
- October 10: Closed.
- December 12 through December 30: Open one (1) day each week on the first weekday which is not closed due to water quality impairment.
Recreational shoredigging: Open daily.
Recreational other than shoredigging: Closed.
