Please be advised that regulations have been filed resulting from the public hearing held on November 1, 2022 and RI Marine Fisheries Council held on November 28, 2022:
- 2023 Commercial Black Sea Bass Management: Amended starting sub-period possession limits.
- 2023 Commercial Scup Management: Amended starting possession limit for the general category sector for the summer sub-period (5/1 – 9/30).
- 2023 Commercial Summer Flounder Management: Amended starting sub-period possession limits
- Recreational Striped Bass Gaffing Prohibition: Adopted a new rule which prohibits the gaffing of striped bass when fishing recreationally.
- Spanish Mackerel: Adopted a new rule which establishes new de minimis rules for both commercial and recreational fisheries
- Part 5 – Lobsters, Crabs, and Other Crustaceans: Proposed amendment to the valid dates of lobster trap tags was not adopted (status quo maintained).
- Part 14 – Summer Flounder Exemption Certificate Program: Amended the rule to establish new provisions allowing for and governing the transfer of exemption certificates that are in Confirmation of Certificate Status (CCS).
