Block Island Wind Farm maintenance – jack up vessel on site
Maintenance work will commence on Friday the 19th of May at foundation B4 of the Block Island Wind Farm (BIWF). The jack up vessel will be the RAM XV and will be on site for up to 60 days at a time to complete the work by August 2023. The vessel will be serving as a staging platform for repairs inside the tower.
As this is an active work site, all precautions should be taken by other vessels in the vicinity to keep clear of the vessel to prevent any tools or other materials that may accidentally fall over the side impacting your vessel. Additional information about the vessel is available on the Ørsted Mariners Briefing webpage:https://a2f3e3.emailsp.com/frontend/nl_preview_window.aspx?idNL=555 [a2f3e3.emailsp.com]
CRMC has reviewed the project and issued maintenance assent M2023-04-114 for this work. Please contact David Ciochetto at CRMC with any questions about the review. All other communications regarding construction or navigation should be directed to Ørsted (contact information at the bottom of this webpage: https://a2f3e3.emailsp.com/frontend/nl_preview_window.aspx?idNL=555 [a2f3e3.emailsp.com]).
