Two Quahog Transplants Scheduled for 2024
Please be advised that there are two quahog transplants scheduled for 2024:
- May 2nd: Warwick Cove into Greenwich Bay Shellfish Management Area and Potowomut Spawner Sanctuary
- May 16th: Greenwich Cove into Greenwich Bay Shellfish Management Area and Bristol Harbor Shellfish Management Area
The transplants will occur between 8 A.M. and 12 P.M. Participants will be paid $15 per 50-pound bag. Further details will be circulated in advance of the transplants. The Narragansett Bay Commission will be paying the transplant participants and asks that anyone who has not participated in a transplant within the past three years or has had a change of address to please complete a W-9 form in advance to submit to their staff.
