REVISED DATE FOR 2nd QUAHOG TRANSPLANT
Please be advised that there are two quahog transplants scheduled for 2025:
- May 1st: Greenwich Cove into Greenwich Bay Shellfish Management Area from 8AM – 12PM. The rain date will be on Thursday May 8. This is a paid transplant.
- May 14th: Apponaug Cove into Greenwich Bay Shellfish Management Area from 8AM – 11AM. This is a volunteer transplant.
Participants will be paid $15 per 50-pound bag during the May 1, 2025 transplant. Further details will be circulated in advance of the transplants (e.g., onshore staging location and transplant boundary maps). The Narragansett Bay Commission will be paying the transplant participants and asks that anyone who has not participated in a transplant within the past three years or has had a change of address to please complete a W-9 form in advance to submit to their staff.
