NOTICE
Modification to possession limits and/or seasons for marine species regulated under quota
- Beginning 12:00AM on Sunday, August 28, 2022, the commercial possession limit for Black Sea Bass fishery will be one hundred (100) pounds per vessel per day, until the next sub-period begins on September 16, 2022 at fifty (50) pounds per vessel per day.
For pilot aggregate program participants, this possession limit change corresponds to five hundred (500) pounds per vessel per week, until the next sub-period begins on September 16, 2022 at two-hundred fifty (250) pounds per vessel per week.
- Beginning 12:00AM on Sunday, August 28, 2022, the commercial possession limit for Summer Flounder will be eight hundred (800) pounds per vessel per day for vessels with a Summer Flounder Exemption Certificate, until the next sub-period begins September 16, 2022 at one hundred (100) pounds per vessel per day.
For vessels without a Summer Flounder Exemption Certificate, the commercial possession limit for Summer Flounder will remain at two hundred (200) pounds per vessel per day, until the next sub-period begins September 16, 2022 at one hundred (100) pounds per vessel per day.
For pilot aggregate program participants, this possession limit change corresponds to five-thousand six-hundred (5,600) pounds per vessel per week, until the next sub-period begins on September 16, 2022 at seven hundred (700) pounds per vessel per week.
Possession limits are subject to modification throughout the year; it is the responsibility of the licensed fisherman to comply with possession limits and all such modifications.
