NOTICE
Modification to possession limits and/or seasons for marine species regulated under quota
1. Beginning 12:00AM on Friday, September 16, 2022, the commercial possession limit for Summer Flounder will remain at eight hundred (800) pounds per vessel per day for vessels with a Summer Flounder Exemption Certificate, until the next sub-period begins January 1, 2023 at one hundred (100) pounds per vessel per day.
For vessels without a Summer Flounder Exemption Certificate, the commercial possession limit for Summer Flounder will remain at two hundred (200) pounds per vessel per day, until the next sub-period begins January 1, 2023 at one hundred (100) pounds per vessel per day.
For Pilot Aggregate Program participants, this possession limit change corresponds to five-thousand six-hundred (5,600) pounds per vessel per week, until further notice.
2. Beginning 12:00AM on Friday, September 16, the commercial possession limit for Black Sea Bass fishery will be fifty (50) pounds per vessel per day, until the next sub-period begins October 15, 2022 at fifty (50) pounds per vessel per day. For pilot aggregate program participants, this possession limit change corresponds to two-hundred fifty (250) pounds per vessel per week.
Possession limits are subject to modification throughout the year; it is the responsibility of the licensed fisherman to comply with possession limits and all such modifications.
