Please be advised that the powerpoint presentation from last night’s regulatory workshop is available for viewing on the Division’s calendar page.
At this time the Division is considering all comments and proposals that were presented and discussed at the workshop, with plans to file proposed rules with the Secretary of State on or about February 17th, which will begin a 30 day public comment period. Additional comments or proposals should be made for the Division’s consideration for noticing no later than Friday, February 10th. Staff is available to discuss proposals. A public hearing is then planned for March 6th, followed by a RI Marine Fisheries Council meeting on April 3.
Please be reminded that comments to be included in the official public record must be made during the 30-day comment period; comments made at the workshop are not entered into the public record.
