Attention Commercial Marine License Holders
Please be advised that the following commercial marine fishing licenses must be renewed no later than February 29, 2024:
- Multipurpose Licenses (MPURP)
- Resident Standard Fishing Licenses (RSTND)
- Non-Resident Standard Fishing Licenses (NRSTND)
- Shellfish Over 65 Licenses (SFO65).
Failure to renew any of these licenses by February 29, 2024 will result in the assessment of an additional late fee of two hundred dollar ($200.00) for licenses issued within the sixty (60) day grace period March 1 – April 29, 2024. Persons are encouraged to renew online at RIO – Rhode Island Outdoors – Home and sign in using their unique identification number CID; or, alternatively, in person at 235 Promenade St., Room 360 M-F, 8:30 am until 3:30 pm. All fishers must be up to date with logbook/electronic reporting requirements prior to renewal. Questions regarding reporting compliance should be directed to the Division of Marine Fisheries in Jamestown at 401-423-1923.
