Please be advised that amendments to the following rules have been filed, resulting from the public hearing held on September 10th and RI Marine Fisheries Council meeting held on October 7th:
- Part 1 – Definitions and General Provisions (effective 11/18/2024)
- Amendments to landmark coordinates in the landmark table
- Part 2 – Commercial Marine Fishing Licenses, Landing Permits, and Party and Charter Licenses (effective 01/01/2025)
- Elimination of the Dockside Sales Endorsement (IMPORTANT! Dockside Sales Endorsements currently issued shall remain valid through 2024. Persons wishing to maintain the activities authorized by the Dockside Sales Endorsement will be required to obtain a Direct Sales Dealer License beginning in 2025. See Part 7 – Dealers for regulations for the Direct Sales Dealer License (link below)).
- Part 4 – Shellfish (effective 11/19/2024)
- Amendment to the December 2024 harvest schedule for the Greenwich Bay Shellfish Management Area.
- Part 6 – General Equipment Provisions (effective 11/18/2024)
- Amendment to the Upper Pt. Judith Pond and the Narrow River commercial netting prohibition; clarification of the Foster Cove Channel and the Narrows of Ninigret Pond fixed gear prohibition.
- Part 7 – Dealers (effective 01/01/2025)
- Amendments to the Direct Sale Dealer License
