MAFMC Public Workshops on Scup Gear Restricted Areas – Nov. 20th, 2024
As part of the ongoing Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council effort to investigate potential modifications to the scup Gear Restricted Areas, the Council will be holding a public workshop to collect input on the GRAs on November 20th from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. The public workshop will be facilitated by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County-Marine Program and participants may participate by attending in-person at one of three locations or virtually. The meeting locations are:

· Cornell Cooperative Extension, 423 Griffing Avenue, Riverhead, NY 11901
· Lund’s Fisheries, 997 Ocean Drive, Cape May, NJ 08204
In addition to the workshop, CCE is collecting industry input on the current scup GRAs through an online survey [cornell.ca1.qualtrics.com].
